[ When she opens the door, she is dressed in the Arctic Mystic Code again, instead of those prison stripes. She's a lot more comfortable in that than the old Chaldea uniform for now. ]

Anyway, c'mon, I think most of everyone are having emotional hangovers, so we should probably keep it down just a little bit.

[ She gestures and steps aside to let Da Vinci in. ]

... Never mind, I don't want to take responsibility for anyone else's emotional well-being right now. I'm sure they have support and I'll practice my bedside manner of minding my own business.

[ And she steps in!

Yeah. It's kind of what it is.

[ She is not really that much more used to the decor, let's be honest. ]

There's also no exits except the front door, so I'm considering practicing my blanket-rope making abilities. C'mon, my room is this way.

... Though we're hardly equipped for guests right now. To be honest, we're hardly equipped for ourselves, so you'd better believe I'm putting in work to change that! No rest for the weary beautiful geniuses, I tell you!

[ she gripes, but she's still following. ]

Cool, I don't think I'm in a position to invite anyone over either. Everyone's either sad, or more sad, and I'm still trying to figure everyone out so I even know how to help.

[ TA DAH, HER ROOM, which is the absolute bare bones out-of-the-box setup. She has not really done much to it except, as noted, squirreled away snacks wherever they can be hidden.

Or, you know, some are just in plain sight. ]

Yes, I imagine for someone who gets deeply involved into other people's matters about ten minutes into meeting them, this must feel like slacking.

[ But she says it lightly, as she's looking around.

At. All of the snacks. Amazing. ]

I don't always do that! Sometimes it takes me half an hour.

[ Also usually there's a lot more immediately pressing "the world is going to end" or "this Singularity is going to grow and destroy the world" or "guess I'm going through this prison tower with the Count of Monte Cristo, that's fine" matters involved.

And listen, Ritsuka is a growing girl, by which one means that because she's so low level as a mage she has to compensate with food, and there is no Emiya here to swoop in and cook incessantly every three hours. She's not about to ask her teammates to feed her unless they're already making things for everyone. ]

Sometimes, it even takes me a whole forty-five minutes.

But usually not any longer than an hour, right?

[ This girl. ]

Well, the situation's both less and more concerning than what you've had to deal with before, but we'll figure it out. For now, are you ready?

[fujimaru]

If you already know, you know!

[ There is no reason to be cagey or downplay it around Da Vinci. This is the one person in this whole place who can call Ritsuka on any of her bullshit and have the authority and understanding to do so.

And now she holds her hands out without hesitation. ]

I'm glad to be working with you again, Da Vinci-chan.

[ She reaches out.

There is also a little bit of tension that seeps out of her posture at that, the kind of thing that's only really noticeable in its absence, and probably not something someone who didn't already know her well would notice. ]

[ She just silently tugs her in. Plunk your head on her shoulder, equally short Master. ]

[ Well. She's not gonna say no. ]

...I'm really, really glad you're here. Even if it's not forever, I'm glad.

[ She smiles, resting a hand on her head. ]

It won't be. But for as long as I'm here, you can talk to me about anything. Or whine into my shoulder. I'll allow it.

I might need that.

Cerberus seems nice as a team, but... I don't know how much I want to tell them, yet. It's not that I want to hide everything, I just don't know how much they need to hear.

[davincible]

It's not how much they need to hear, it's how much you trust them to be able to hear without you feeling bad about burdening someone with it.

Luckily for us both, I'm here for any and all unreasonable and unruly complaints of yours, even when you inevitably adopt them.

[fujimaru]

I might not!

[ But she's smiling as she says it. She knows better. ]

...I don't want anyone to worry about me. There's nothing they can actually do to change or help--I think I'm on a whole team of main characters, Da Vinci-chan, everyone's got their own things to worry about.

I think you'll manage somehow, but I'll look forward to the stories of who tries to be sacrificial first.

[ It's entirely possible it will be her. But given Cerberus's makeup, it might not! ]
