Those eyes have no lids, they cannot blink, but they are clearly tracking his movements. They're also about the only thing in this room that does not have at least some amount of positivity coming from it. (The card is a close second, but the tentacle is clearly not friendly.)
He can, if he is patient and persistent! It looks like it was ripped into quarters at some point, and then two of the sections further ripped up, like maybe Ritsuka had gotten tired or bored of the effort partway through.
There is a lot of mixed feelings that come from this--a sense of unease and confusion, kind of like the swooping feeling that comes when you make a wrong step. But it's not all bad, either; there's something kind of curious, kind of hopeful, though it is pretty buried under the general sense of ???!???
It's a very cute room, okay. There is SO much stuff in here, including flashes of colors that he should recognize as corresponding to the various teams in Reverie. There's at least one representative for each team, if he looks.
