"If you finish these up, then this ol' Cat will lend you a nice cleaver."

At least one of them is having a good time. Around the time he's done, she does in fact have a nice big steaming bowl of curry over rice waiting for him. It smells amazing, because somehow, in spite of those big paws, she's apparently a genuine cook.

Damn, why do you guys have so many dishes? That should keep everyone with clean plates for a month!

Nah, nevermind. I'll head out after I eat, thanks for the meal.

It is in fact probably the best curry he has ever had. The platonic ideal of curry rice: not too sweet, not too salty, just a tiny bit spicy. Cat was not lying about knowing what she was doing, it seems.

She produces another knife--from where? don't ask, it's probably not worth knowing--and tosses it at him.

Or rather, not AT-him at him, but at the table. It's a pretty wickedly-sharp cleaver. You could definitely chop some bones with this.

She waves at him, and returns to her work. It definitely looks like she's preparing enough food for a veritable army, but there's still no one else but here here. Weird.
