They buzz like a muted sort of electric shock at the contact, something that does not hurt, precisely, but leaves the fingers sort of tingly and numb in the aftermath. Not the worst, but not really pleasant, either.

[does anything happen when she adds a lil bit of spiritual energy into it? JUST CURIOUS it probably does nothing but we gotta check all the boxes ok]

The walls absorb her energy with a gentle hum, but there is no rebound, no sense of hostility. One gets the sense that this place is not unlike a huge, huge batter of magical energy of some sort.

[NEAT! she is actually going to dump some more spiritual energy into it then. more energy being stored up cannot be a bad thing.

by doing a general look around, is there anything else in the room that stands out, or just the four doors?]

Just the four doors at the top of the stairs!

If she approaches them, she will see they are perfectly normal looking (modern) doors! They've got little keycard locks next to them, though when he approaches any one, the light beeps from red to green. They don't appear to be actually locked.

For the sake of things, let's call them left, right, top, and bottom.

[THEY ARE NOTED. she's gonna get to them in just a second. Since there are disembodied voices murmuring also...she's going to gently call out to them, to see if they answer.]

They do not. If she looks around, she'll see that Da Vinci seems to be the only one having success in conversing with thin air at the moment.

Servants, then. Maybe they can't hear me.

Da Vinci seems to be having a kind of amused time.

Should we follow her? Or look elsewhere?

It would be wise to divide our forces, I think. So we should look elsewhere.

Mm. Can survey the unexpected places.

Should avoid the cafeteria, as well.

That leaves us with...two unchecked doors, then. I suppose we can pick at random.

[she is doing that, we're merging the timelines, we can do it]

[she is going to try and glean some information from what Da Vinci is saying, a little amused herself...and THEN it is time to inspect the doors again. is there any indication of where they lead icly, or just left, right, top, bottom as our indicators?]

There are none, unfortunately; Da Vinci seems pretty confident about her choice, but the doors are otherwise completely identical.

[that's fair, she doesn't live here. they are going to pick a door that they have NOT SEEN PEOPLE GO THROUGH YET!]
