The Tarot card gives her this memory, without any of the related game chatter around it. It is clearly from relatively early in Ritsuka's time at Chaldea.

[ She places the card down. And then reaches for the figurine. ]

All right, it's about time you get out of here.

The figurine recoils from her, its many, many eyes swiveled in her direction. Look, what's a little demon pillar action among all your daughter's items, huh?

[ Yeah, what the fuck! ]

... You can come quietly-- [ as she extends her hand to it, palm up so it could ootch on if it felt like that. ]

Or I can freeze you solid. Your choice.

It recoils from her, but does not make any effort to move. Instead, it waves at her, a tiny, tiny aggressive defiance.

it still waves at her, like the equivalent of flipping her the bird.

Oh, well.

She's firing off a (very thin because it's tiny) burst off ice to try to at least freeze the base. ]

It has no mouth and it cannot scream, but it DOES flail around furiously, all tentacle suddenly visible and flailing, hard enough that the frozen base does move against the shelf... and it sounds like there is something hard and metal grinding on the wood as well, out of sight.

... Hm?

[ she moves to just-- try to lift the whole damn pillar off the shelf, using a bit of Servant Strength to break it from the ice. She just needed it to hold still long enough. ]

It tries to wrap itself around her wrist, and for its small size, it is also extremely strong. Because she's a Servant, it won't leave any lasting bruises, but it is definitely strong enough to do some damage to a normal human.

Underneath it is a gold ring.

She will recognize it.

[ It can cling to her wrist. She's sure hoping someone wasn't a moron enough to try and handle it through Weird Means, but she flips her wrist upside down and makes a grab for the ring. ]

Your dad lets you play with his jewelry now? News to me.

It whacks at her wrist again, with more force this time, but unfortunately Da Vinci is a Calvary class which means she has advantage over it. :'(

No. It is not, but it can't really stop her from taking it now, either.

[ Excellent. Because she's taking it.

I mean if the demon pillar wants to continue to adorn her wrist like an angry bracelet she'll carry it along. ]

It does not want to go with the mean Caster. :( As soon as she has the ring and tries to move away, it begins to struggle again, this time like it's trying to get free and less like it's trying to stop her.

[ She pauses, then moves away from the shelf where it was chilling and lifts her hand so it can go detach to another area of the room instead. Go on, get. ]
