He laughs, a low and unfriendly sound. Everything about him appears to be much more at ease now, in this body, rather than when he was borrowing Ritsuka's.

You think me a dunce. But I do not care what it is you think of me, when you have a skewed picture of everyone. It is difficult to take personally.

[At least he can project his voice, so he doesn't have to go all the way up the stairs to hold a conversation.]

It probably takes some effort to project, because there are so many stairs. So many. But it's good cardio, and the Beast(?) watches with some amused interest as they make their way up.

"You need not take anything personally, as you wish. It will make no difference to me, and my own actions."

What is your next action? I see you did not manage to escape the prison!

[fujimaru]

"I did not try very hard," he says, unconcerned by the accusation. "I gave my other challenges, instead. To your Universal Genius, for one."

If you have no affection and hope for your challengers, you are not suited to offer a challenge in the first place. So you hold the Universal Genius Da Vinci in esteem after all?

"She is, at the least, a worthy opponent at time," he says, apparently disinterested. At this point, at least, it seems like Da Vinci has convinced him to do something; there is a portal opening, available to step through.
