And it looks like getting them was no cakewalk; d'Eon sports a bruise and a scrape on one cheek, their upper arm and right hand have been bandaged, and their clothes are flecked with blood, grime, and even some grass.]

[ Drop rates are bad civilization and there are so many mouths to feed. Ritsuka isn't actually sure what Da Vinci does to make these items work, or how it's decided who needs what -- it's always felt safer to never ask -- but she is rather painfully aware of how meager the pickings can be.

So the first thing she does is take the babies, and then looks up and... ]

[THOSE HARD-EARNED BABIES. Despite being injured, d'Eon manages to dive for them, catching them in their hands just in time. The effort, however, causes the Saber to wince visibly and the landing? They scrape their knee against the ground and topple over, but the mats are saved.]

I'm all right. [And so are the homunculus babies. d'Eon might be blushing a little - whether it's because of the somewhat embarrassing fall or Ritsuka's concern, no one knows. Maybe both.] I can walk.

Finding/making icons is bad civ

[ Oh jeeze. Oh heck. Once D'eon hits the ground, Ritsuka winces then swoops in herself, first to take the babies again, and this time gently set them safely on the ground before crouching next to the downed Saber. ]

Listen, I know you guys are tougher than me, but you still need to at least take care of yourselves. Okay? For me? Please?

[ She isn't fond of trotting out anything approaching an order outside of the battlefield, but she is willing to make exceptions in a situation like this. ]

We're between missions, so it's fine to take it a little easier.

[They nod to their Master before standing back up, somehow maintaining their dignity and poise despite their injuries.]

But even between missions, we still need to gather needed materials, do we not?

[ The only exception is Mash, because Mash would sneak out of Chaldea on two broken legs to follow any party Ritsuka goes on. But for now, she crosses her arms, her mouth twisting into something halfway between a scowl and a pout. ]

I don't want to make it sound like I don't appreciate you guys, because I totally do. But I'm more than willing to put that on hold if you guys need the break.

Plus, there are other Servants who take breaks even when they're not supposed to.

[ Oh shit. She'll have to go check on Lily later, because frankly even if there's a good contingent who'll sit on her to keep her down, she's still an Arturia. Who knows what'll happen there.

With that, though, Ritsuka does bob her head in a brief acknowledgment. ]
