There is no immediate answer, but as she enters the room, she can hear the sound of someone in the kitchen, bustling around. It smells really good over there, we've gotta say.

As she enters, she will find this man hard at work, stirring a pot that is bubbling vigorously, smelling like curry. He does not appear to have noticed her yet.

He starts, turning around to stare at her...

...and stare at her...

And then just rubs his face.

"Ah. I suppose?"

Under his breath, he mutters, why is this what's happening, but he does in fact put together a plate for her. It's curry over rice, and it smells frankly amazing.

Because I love Ritsuka a lot so of course I'm here to help find her, and finding goes easier when I'm not as hungry.

[ the moment the food is plated and ready, it's ]

There's a pause, and then he whistles low, impressed. "Huh. A good eater, are you... well, I can't say I disapprove."

A pause, and then he sighs, running a quick hand through his hair. "Or about the looking for her. We've been searching, but she's been hidden pretty well."

D'you have any clues that might help? I've been trying to listen for her, but ...

He shakes his head, looking more concerned now than anything.

"There's a key somewhere, but--let's say that the current landlord has locked most of us out of it. I don't think he was expecting any other... ah. Guests, as it were."

"You'll--excuse me?" He seems genuinely startled by this. "You'll what?"

It's like I said: Ritsuka's an important friend who I love very, very much. I want her to be safe and happy and okay.

If he's gonna stand in the way of that, I will make him regret it.

[ tips back her head, opens her mouth ]

[ pours like, two thirds of the curry right on in. delicious. ]

There's a long pause.

And then he snorts, shaking his head; despite the sound and the gesture, he seems pretty pleased by that.

"I should've guessed she'd pick up more people," he says. "Or dragons. I don't even know why I'm surprised."

"Yeah, it always is, with her." He sounds fond. "I don't think you'll find that many of us here, when we're locked out--but it's the same story every time."

"It doesn't really matter how awful you are," he says, and while he sounds exasperated, he also sounds fond. "Considering some of the strays she's picked up--but never mind that. That guy won't be expecting other people to be looking for her. So you're in a good position to find her, if you find the key."

He nods; he's clearly worried, but not upset.

"There's a couple of places we're completely cut off from," he says. "If you can find those places, that's probably the best place to look."

Are they places with obvious doors, like the one I came in here through?

"It'll be one of those doors, probably." He frowns thoughtfully, rubbing his chin. "I haven't seen how the place has been reorganized just yet... so I'm going to guess, if you came through one and there are more, one of them will take you where you need to go."
