THE CAFETERIA

When you enter, you find yourself in a large, fairly standard-looking cafeteria. There's the smell of something delicious coming from the food line, and there are various games--board games, card games, a whole-ass VR setup--scattered around, though no one appears to be around playing anything. You can hear voices, though, cheerful chatter and the occasional grumble and argument; even if there's no one to be seen, it sounds like there's a bunch of people having a great time all around you.

It feels comfortable here, welcoming. It feels like walking into a room and seeing beloved friends waiting for you... even though no one is here at all.

There is no immediate answer, but as she enters the room, she can hear the sound of someone in the kitchen, bustling around. It smells really good over there, we've gotta say.

As she enters, she will find this man hard at work, stirring a pot that is bubbling vigorously, smelling like curry. He does not appear to have noticed her yet.

He starts, turning around to stare at her...

And then just rubs his face.

"Ah. I suppose?"

Under his breath, he mutters, why is this what's happening, but he does in fact put together a plate for her. It's curry over rice, and it smells frankly amazing.

It's a pretty modern fancy setup! And because Chaldea is full of a bunch of geniuses, magical and technological, it's going to work better than probably anything on the market, even for extremely rich people.

When he puts it on, it's Beat Saber.

The head that pops around the serving window is this lady, bright-eyed. Tits out. Fox-eared. Dog-pawed...??

"Lunch is curry! If you've got special requests, you'd better tell 'em right now, woof!"

"'Cause that's what a cat says!" She seems very confident about this, though at his question, she scrunches up her fast. "As for Master... nope! They've got us on kitchen duty if someone finds her! If you ask me, they should've had me use my nose, woof, but that ol' fuddy-duddy detective was like nooooo, Miss Cat, since Master likes your food so much, you should probably focus on that... sigh..."

She actually says sigh, casting her eyes heavenward.

A bunch of board games! They all look fairly new and intact, too; there's a lot that appear to be in progress, though there's no signs of anyone here, despite the voices, and the smell of fresh cooking.

[mmmm food is tantalizing. . . but he picks up a random piece from a random game, just to see if anything happens. or if any of the games are like, mythology related]

Not unless you count like, some of the fantasy-ish games like Settlers of Catan.

One of them, however, is this board, which may be a little less immediately recognizable.

[he doesn't recognize that game though, it's true. so he will touch that game board and pick up the pieces and just otherwise go ??? at it like staring at it will make it make sense]

Examining the board gives him the brief image of this cute little scene; it's clear that the man is wearing much finer and more expensive clothes than the children who gather around him, but these kids clearly recognize him, having no fear as they call for their king to come play a game with them.

Sounds like you've been able to meet some interesting people, Ritsuka.

[if there's nothing mythology related on the gaming table, then he'll make his way to the kitchen to see if there is anything there for him to poke at]

As he enters the kitchen, he will see this woman, at work apparently peeling potatoes. When he enters, she looks up, looking briefly confused.
